Mr. Teimorshorijeh, you have had an impressive journey that has taken you from the Persian Gulf to the Alps. Can you tell us more about your arrival at feratel?

Reza Teimorshorijeh: Of course, with pleasure. I am a trained IT technician and am originally from Iran. Around five years ago I was forced to leave my hometown of Shiraz and unfortunately also my family. It was a painful decision followed by a really challenging time. In the end, I was lucky enough to find a new home in Austria. Today I live in Werden and have been working as a service technician at feratel since May 2022. There I am assigned to the Pfarrwerfen location, but my work takes me to the most beautiful places in all of Austria. In my opinion, a great privilege.

That sounds like a very exciting job. How would you describe your workplace?

Reza Teimorshorijeh: My workplace is truly unique. I often work in places where others spend their vacation. This means I spend a lot of time in the fresh air, enjoy incredible views and have a very varied job. There are hardly any days that are the same as any other. Today I'm in the Serfaus ski area, next week maybe at Lake Neusiedl. This willingness to travel is clearly part of my job profile and that's exactly what makes my work so exciting.

What are your main tasks as a service technician at feratel?

Reza Teimorshorijeh: I am primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance and, if necessary, repair of panoramic cameras throughout Austria. One of my most important tasks is to ensure that our cameras work smoothly and deliver the usual good panoramic images. The technology behind the panoramas is really impressive. I like to describe our new MediaCam 5 as a small revolution in panorama streaming. Compared to predecessors and products from competitors, the camera developed in-house is a real technological leap into the future. At the moment we can hardly keep up with new installations.

What do you value most about your work and your employer?

Reza Teimorshorijeh: feratel offers an excellent working environment. Appreciation is very important here and we have flat hierarchies, a strong team spirit, good development opportunities and attractive incentives. For example, I always look forward to the annual ski day, the Christmas party or even trips with my colleagues. I feel like part of a big family and I am very happy and, above all, grateful for that.

How did you settle in in Austria? In addition to your professional success, have you also found a new home in your personal life?

Reza Teimorshorijeh: Yes, I not only found a job in Austria, but also a second home. In my free time I enjoy the region's diverse range of leisure activities. I love hiking in the mountains or exploring the country on my motorbike. And in winter I even go skiing now. These skills are also an advantage in my work, as many of our camera locations are in ski resorts and are difficult to access.

What are the biggest challenges in your job and how do you deal with them?

Reza Teimorshorijeh: One of the biggest challenges is certainly the aforementioned accessibility of some camera locations. This requires not only technical know-how, but also physical fitness and good planning. But thanks to a great team and high-quality equipment, I can always fully concentrate on my technical tasks. Regular training, education and training also help a lot.

How do you see the future at feratel and your personal future?

Reza Teimorshorijeh: I look to the future very positively. feratel is constantly growing and continually expanding its range of innovative solutions. I look forward to the coming years, the challenges they will bring, and continuing to be part of that growth. I'm excited to see how technology will develop and how I can continue to contribute my skills and experience here.

Thank you, Reza Teimorshorijeh, for the exciting insights into your work and life.
