Sylt Tourismus-Service GmbH is taking another step towards the digital future and will switch to feratel’s Deskline destination management system at the end of 2023.
At the end of 2023, Sylt Tourism will change the information and reservation system. feratel is equipping the popular holiday island with its Deskline destination management system, including an online booking route. “feratel offers us what we have been missing up to now: an expandable professional booking tool for accommodation as a core tourist offer. It is important for us that this tool is equipped with a shopping cart that can be filled with guest cards, experiences and vouchers. This is how modern, integrated tourist sales work,” explains Peter Douven, Managing Director of Insel Sylt Tourismus-Service GmbH.
With the switch to the Deskline destination management system, tourism professionals get an all-in-one solution whose products mesh perfectly: information management system with event calendar, CRM (Customer Relation Management) system, hotel rating system, one-stop shop for booking accommodation, packages , experiences, tickets and much more. In addition, a channel management system is also integrated for the additional marketing of the businesses on relevant connected booking portals such as Airbnb and Booking.com.
“We are proud that we were able to convince Sylt of our solutions in the area of information and reservation systems. With the well-known North Sea island, we can count another top destination among our Deskline customers," says Rainer Egen, Managing Director of feratel Germany, and adds: "With our solutions, tourism regions exploit their potential, use the advantages of digitization, win and retain guests. "
Deskline generated 1 billion euros in booking sales in the past 2 years alone. Almost 123,000 businesses from over 12,450 destinations in Europe are now managed via Deskline. The system is in use in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Liechtenstein, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia.
